This is very well articulated. My husband was in Vietnam where his CO told him to aim at a place where my husband knew our troops were. He argued w/him to no avail. This was and still is devastating to him.
In this case, the entire service was a moral injury as he was drafted knowing the true political situation. This particular incident causes him suffering to this day, as does the betrayal of all the soldiers who were sent for false purposes to war.
